About the Netherlands Institute for Political Participation

The Dutch Institute for Political Participation (IPP) is an independent, non-partisan organisation that promotes political and social participation both in the Netherlands and abroad. Some of its projects are subsidised by the central government. In addition, a substantial part of its revenue is generated by projects commissioned by provincial and municipal authorities, other government agencies and non-governmental organisations.

The IPP’s partners are non-governmental organisations in the Netherlands and in other countries, governmental bodies at the European, the national, the provincial and the municipal levels and citizens. It currently employs over 50 permanent and temporary staff in Amsterdam and in The Hague.
